Big Sur
Wikipedia says this about Big Sur:
“The people of Big Sur today are a diverse mix: descendants of the original settler and rancher families, artists and other creative types”
and
“The Spanish gave Big Sur its name during this period, calling the region el paĆs grande del sur (the Big Country of the South) which was often shortened to el sur grande, because it was a vast, unexplored, and impenetrable land south of their capital at Monterey.”
Big Sur in Second Life is quite the same. A diverse mix of people that have come together in a sense of community to enjoy a tranquil environment that everyone deserves. Yes we are an eclectic mix. But thats what makes it so great.
Big Sur is a Residential island with all lots having at least one side frontage on the water. Water pathways allow residents to travel from one island sim to another.
Tora
Tora is actually 5 sims that are located next to Big Sur. Tora 1-2-3-4-5 along with Big Sur make up the Big Sur Tora Estates. The five islands are connected to Big Sur. Although each Island is different in its topography, they all share one thing in common. They are all interconnected by waterways that are open to residents to enjoy
